Trevor Condon Leads Initial Cardinals Draft Signees

St. Louis Cardinals first round draft pick Trevor Condon visited the team on Thursday and signed his initial professional contract.

Thursday, July 16 was a busy day for the St. Louis Cardinals as a number of 2026 draftees reportedly came to terms with the team. I say “reportedly” as only first-rounder Trevor Condon, who had a signing ceremony in St. Louis, has been confirmed by the team.

I expect the remainder (as well as others) new signings to appear in a press release very soon, likely on Friday. In the meantime, here is a quick wrap up with more details coming.

Trevor Condon

OF Trevor Condon (13th overall) signed for $5.16 million, per Derrick Goold. That is $501,300 under slot.

Caden Ferraro

1B Caden Ferraro (third round) signed under slot for $800,000, also per Goold. That gave the Cardinals additional savings of $143,600.

Dee Kennedy

SS Dee Kennedy (fourth round) signed for his slot value of $684,300, reported by Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline on Wednesday.

Dawson Montesa

RHP Dawson Montesa (Comp Bal B) posted photos of his signing on Instagram on Thursday. Financials are to be announced.
