On the heels of the St. Louis Cardinals’ popular 2011 World Championship ring giveaway and a shadow promotion at their organization-owned Double-A club in Springfield, both clubs are planning a second-chance date ahead.
St. Louis will run their second ring promotion on Friday, July 6, as the Cardinals match up against the Miami Marlins. All fans who attend the game will receive a wearable replica of the 2011 World Championship ring.
Springfield’s second promotion will be sooner, this coming Thursday, May 2. It is more limited, with only the first 2,000 fans through the gates receiving the collectible ring. Last time, fans lined up at Hammons Field starting over eight hours early.
In one measurement of the interest level in these rings, they are currently selling on ebay for up to $100.
