Palm Beach Cardinals Announce 2026 Opening Day Roster

The Class-A Palm Beach Cardinals, in conjunction with the St. Louis Cardinals, announced their 2026 Opening Day roster ahead of Thursday’s Opening Day matchup vs. the St. Lucie Mets.

The roster is made up of 13 position players and 17 pitchers, with the total representing the Class-A limit of 30 active players. Additionally, one is on the Development List and five others open 2026 on the Injured list.

PITCHERS (17): Yadiel Batista*, Liam Best, Alex Breckheimer, Cade Crossland*, Antoni Cuello, Dylan Driessen, Kaden Echeman, Jovi Gálvez, Yordy Herrera*, Robbie Knowles, Jack Martinez, Rubén Menes, Jacob Odle, Jake Shelagowski, Ty Van Dyke, Nelfy Ynfante, Ethan Young

The group is headlined by 2025 second round draft pick, prep outfielder Ryan Mitchell, The Cardinal Nation’s 19th-ranked prospect.

Ethan Young

Opening Night starting pitcher Ethan Young was St. Louis’ fifth rounder in 2025, initially ranked 27th in the system by TCN.

Other potential members of the rotation include Cade Crossland, Ty Van Dyke, Jack Martinez, Jacob Odle and Alex Breckheimer.
