I tuned in to see how Yadi looks behind the plate and he’s DH, not C. Any tips what’s up? I’d gather he would C tonight, DH tomorrow.
He hit a grounder that couldn’t quite be fielded in his first AB, for an infield single. He was then forced. I didn’t see him going full speed, so don’t know how he looked running.
July 28, 2022 at 7:48 pm #192870Hey Gags, glad to see you back. I think his knees are done. We’ll see what happens the next couple games there in Memphis.
July 28, 2022 at 7:52 pm #192872they ruled the grounder as an error. second time up, a deep fly.
Bling-
I’d think they would be pretty shot, but before he went DL, I thought he still looked like he had enough that he could get through a couple or three months, particularly with some days off. I wonder if he’s realizing he needs more work than expected before he can make a return to St. Louis….
July 28, 2022 at 8:26 pm #192875Third time up, he hits another grounder. And on a hard play the SS throws it away. Molina looked like regular Yadi speed running to second to my eye, not bad knee Yadi. Yadi then stole third without a throw (reading it so he got an enormous jump) and scored on a single.

July 28, 2022 at 10:38 pm #192886My guess would be they have had him catch on the side and know he can. Why waste more knee strain if unnecessary?
July 29, 2022 at 12:00 am #192888Any word on the hand? Yadi took one on the hand in his last ab.
July 29, 2022 at 6:12 am #192892Didn’t appear to be serious, but nothing official yet.
Video of Yadier Molina being plunked on the left hand/wrist area. Was able to flex his left hand a few times which would seem to be a good sign. Hopefully him immediately leaving the game is just precautionary. pic.twitter.com/oBUOVRYP8c

July 29, 2022 at 1:08 pm #192917To clarify, Molina is scheduled to play Saturday and Sunday. Though not stated directly, the implication is that he will not play this evening (Friday). He was hit on the hand by a pitch Thursday night. https://t.co/aWJePCTtNx
