    Musial was my boyhood hero too, but you’ve got to give Hornsby some very serious consideration.

    For superior performance
    over a long career that was 100% as a Cardinal, there’s no question.

    It’s an easy one to answer…of course it’s Stan. Hornsby and Pujols were also great with St Louis, maybe even better at their pinnacle than Musial, but not quite so brilliant for so long.

    There’s a shot that Albert passes Stan for #2. Losing this year will really hurt that though.
