As someone save covid year who hasn’t missed a ST since 2000- is there a chance we get a non 40 man ST in Jupiter this year given no deal?

Normally in a lockout the answer is obvious but MLB has been anything but normal since we last had this problem. Crossing my fingers for some kind of late February baseball solution in Jupiter 😕

Interesting question. Since minor league players are now in the union, it won’t be them crossing the line. And even the former indy ball teams are now “MLB Partner Leagues”. So my first blush is that they would have serious trouble finding 780 interim players (26 players x 30 teams).

Because the minor league contract is not up in 2026, they will play in 2027 either way, excepting any 40-man roster players.
