Per 162 games, Victor Scott II stole 83 bases with an 86.1% success rate in college.
Per 162 in the minor leagues, it was 91 steals and an 86.2% success rate.
Per 162 in summer/fall leagues, he stole 115 with an 89.1% success rate.
In the majors, per 162, it’s 32 steals and a 91.4% success rate.
I think that is to be expected and this trend is seen for most minor leaguers. The pitchers in the minors are much worse at holding runners on base and good runners can go wild. Scott’s SB rate will pick up though I believe as he matures and learns when he can take the risk. He also has to get on base, which he didn’t do last year while he is doing much better this year. If you extrapolate his current year to a full season of 162, he would steal 48 bases, which is a really good amount overall.
I was thinking earlier today that Victor Scott II has not come close to his ceiling yet. Same goes for Walker and Winn. I don’t think Nootbaar has quite hit his ceiling yet, either. If he stays healthy, he’s on pace to hit 23 HR this season at age 27.
