Maybe others have seen something more recent in a tweet ago, but this is the latest news I had read in him from a couple of weeks ago. It does t sound like there is a clear time table for his return as it is wait and see on the healing. I had seen stuff from before this about maybe late May, but given the lack of news from the Cards and a rehab assignment, I assume that isn’t the case.

I have not heard any updates on him in quite awhile. Any return is not immminent and I am beginning to wonder if he just done for the year.
I caught a glimpse of him in the dugout during Saturday’s game. It was the first time I’d seen him in months. I was beginning to think he’d been surreptitiously smuggled out of the country.
No idea on Edman, but I am glad to see you posting again, GC. I had been wondering about you lately since we hadn’t seen you for a couple months.
I’ve been thinking that he might not be coming back at all. According to reports, his surgery went well and the doctors can’t find anything wrong with him even though Tommy Edman knows darn well there’s something wrong with him. The doctors can’t fix something if they’re incapable of diagnosing what needs to be fixed.
So, where does that leave us? I guess it leaves us to stand around with our fingers crossed.Maybe it is an Ozzie Smith/TLR type situation. Only it would be more the FO than Ollie. Maybe he thinks they promised him the shortstop job. Lack of information will cause people to speculate, what else can one do?
It seems like he would have recovered fully from surgery by now. Including regaining strength. If the surgery was unsuccessful, or if he reinjured it, that would be known before now and it would have been re-repaired by now and he would be recovering from surgery again. But that does not seem to be the case.
