Springfield’s 3 mainstays in their rotation Mautz-Henderson-Hansen rank in the top five in nearly every category. Maybe they can bring some of the S-Card’s success with them to Memphis in ’26. Jf so the Redbirds will have a very solid rotation and some hopes for seeing these guys in Busch in the near future.
They are something to look forward to.The spots that have opened up in STL could alleviate the logjam at the AAA/AA levels. The battle for the five spots in Memphis will be intense. I’m looking forward to Spring training that will sort things out.
Yes, it would get extremely interesting if Hjerpe, Hence, Roby and Robberse are all healthy to compete with the Springfield three, Mathews and Rajcic.
Surely, they can at least get five of nine healthy, right? 😉

Brian, please forgive me if you have answered this question elsewhere, but reading the DSL recap brought a question to mind. The roster matrix has two players listed that are not on the MiLB roster list for the DSL. They are Yordy Valdez and Yostin Peña. They don’t show up when checking the MiLB name look up either. Are they hurt and didn’t play, or did they not sign as reported? Not sure you have access to this info, but thought I would ask anyway!

The two were announced among the group as signed on January 15 and they still have player pages on MiLB.com. However, never disclosed was that they failed their background checks and the signings were voided.
The #stlcards' High-A Peoria Chiefs had a rough time from April to September, finishing just under .400. The offense had its moments, but the pitching struggled, as 22 hurlers ended the season with an ERA of four or more.
