I’ve been thinking about next year when every team in MLB will play every team. Let me share my thoughts and you posters can pick it apart.
Let’s use St. Louis as our example. I am going to assume they will play each team in the AL (except KC) one three game series. That will be 42 games.
As the natural rival let’s assume they will play KC a home and road series, two games apiece. That will be 4 games.
They will then play the NL East and NL West six times, a three game series home and road. That will be 60 games.
That leaves them playing the rest of the NL Central 14 times each. 7 at home and 7 on the road. That will be 56 games.
So……42+4+60+56 = 162 games.

Yep they announced in March that is how it is going to be. Not exactly how I would draw it up but I am sure they have their reasons.
