Rubber game and the quest to get back above .500 – part 3. (We were 9-9 at one point if I recall correctly.)
We’ll get there, ZTR. Well, we throttled 3 dong-a-longs last night yet still lost. Cards win this one going away 6-3. Gibson and Kitty both need to be extended a year or two. I’m a bit hesitant at this point to extend Sir Lance-A-Lot. What’s for din-din tonight one may inquire? I think a trip over to Johnny’s Steakhouse in beautiful Sun Prairie just may be in the cards if we win today. If we lose, it’ll be franks & beans, potato chips and a tall glass of chocolate milk.
Hopefully Gibson doesn’t miss any other starts. Tough start for Liberator with such little notice. Doesn’t excuse throwing meat balls though.
Think about Arenados 2 at bats. Inside out swing on a 3-0 count with nobody on and 2 out results in a single. Than with a man on second and 2 outs and a 2-1 count he tries to pull a pitch and pops out.
And that, friends, is why you don’t put 2 guys who can’t hit back to back.
Edit-Actually, these two guys don’t belong in the lineup on the same day. But I digress.
Just now had a chance to tune in and checking the box it looks like Liberatore was greeted with a twin tater ambush. Poor kid.
We’ve had guys pitching this series I’ve never heard of. After the deadline, understandable, but while we’re possibly a wild card?
Early start out here in the mountain west – I did not check in until the 8th and saw Arenado get plunked. Hopefully nothing serious as all we need are to lose infielders now.
Another close one. Our good fortune in these games is likely to even out so we may just lose this series. At some point it would be nice to sail into the late innings up something like 7-1.
