They had trouble getting Noot out yesterday.

Did I hear that correctly? That was the 2nd xbh off the bench all season?

A couple of good hacks by Nado but rolls over into a 6-4-3 to end it.

Dodgers do what you’d expect from a good team and take 2 of 3 on the road to maintain their grip on first place in the NLW. I’d have liked to have seen a different outcome, but it’s alway enjoyable to watch a HOF pitcher display the talents that have enabled him to bewilder Big League hitters for almost two decades.

Good news. The Cards were competitive this weekend against one of the very best in the NL.
Bad news. They lost 2 of 3 and are now 11 games out of first place with the Brewers coming to town next. Win 2 of 3, they’re still 10 out.

The Brewers have now entirely buried the other four NLC teams.

Good perspective Dom. Kershaw is a class act. I still hate losing.

Seeing as how the Cardinals are no longer close to being competitive in the NLC, maybe they should take a page out Houston’s book and move to weak division in the AL…Hey, the Astros have done pretty well with that approach.

We are 4.5 out of the 3rd WC with the Braves ahead 2-0 in the 5th vs Angels, so we will be either 4 or 5 out by tonight.

It’s been clear since the asb that they’re negative run differential was catching up with them. The problem, as I see it, is next year promises to be more of the same. I don’t expect much to change. Maybe Goldy is re-signed as a bench player instead of starter. That’s it. Cheers!

This team is so offensively challenged.

They need to send Walker back to Memphis, ASAP.

How in the world did they manage to screw that kid up so badly in less than a year?

Whether or not his handlers are the primary cause of his struggles are anyone’s guess. What’s certain is that sometimes the the weight of failure has to be placed upon the shoulders of the player. At the end of the day, the approach that he takes regarding how he plays baseball is an approach that belongs to him and him only. And I’m reasonably certain he’s aware of that.

I would but most of the blame on the shoulders of the player. Scott I will give a pass to this year and he can defend. If Walker isn’t hitting he’s basically a pylon in the field and at the plate and he knows it. Maybe that’s the issue that’s leading up to so much pressure.

Mo could screw up a junkyard. Walker should never have been brought back up. He was white hot and should have been left in Memphis. Bring him to spring training and let him compete for a job. If he wins it fine. But Mo had to try and use him to resurrect his bench.

I was going to say he could screw up a one car funeral, but yeah, a junkyard too.
