And Walker is now officially mired in a prolonged slump. How does one go 0-8 in a series……all by whiffs?

It’s the age old pattern in regards to the way they’re working to Walker. They get him to chase almost anything that breaks way off the outer half on the first pitch and then come back with the fastball that he watches go right over the heart of the plate for strike two. Once they get way ahead 0-2, he’s pretty much deader than yesterday.

The Cardinals need to start scoring runs when May pitches. Counting tonight’s game, in his last 6 starts, the Cardinals have scored 13 runs total. He has allowed 16 earned runs in those games. They are currently 1-4 in his last 6 starts and his ERA is 4.00 in those games.

I have a pretty penny on this puppy….we better come back and win this one. Can’t lose 2 straight at home to these schluffs……well maybe schluffs is too strong a word.

Walker off the proverbial schneid with a ringing rbi base hit……2 Birds nested with runners on the corners with nary and out……tied at 4 and looking for a heck of a lot more.

Nice…..Velasquez, Winn and Fermin cannot move the runners an inch forward on the base paths and we only get the 2. We’re starting to play like we all thought they would back in March.

Having baserunners at 1B and 3B with 0 outs and failing to push the lead run across will make you say bad words.

That’s a good one, Pugs. It’s a lot better than putting the furniture at risk…

As Marmol has made substitutions in this game, I feel like they haven’t been what I think he should do. I did not like the Velazquez for Torres sub nor the Saggese for Crooks sub. I think I would rather have Gorman instead of Fermin against the lefty when that substitution was made.

I get nerves every time O’Brian comes into a game. Woulda’t it be nice if Hence could stay healthy enough to be our closer?

I’m not sure Hence would put me at ease.

His first game back in Memphis tonight he went one inning. First three guys he faced, walk, walk, wild pitch, rbi base hit. He did get through the inning without further damage. He’s back in Memphis so I assume he is as healthy as he is going to be. Wish him well.

Sucks we couldn’t at least have a chance to take another series. Got to grab on tomorrow. Don’t want to get swept by Tejas

O’Brien has given up runs in his last four games.

Soriano has only given up runs in 3 of his last 14 games. Same for Romero.

Stanek has only give up runs in 3 of his last 15 games.

I’m wondering if and when O’Brien moves out of closer and it becomes, at least for the moment, a committee.
