Cards.TV // KMOX // WIJRSeptember 10, 2026 at 8:02 am #318617Feels like a loss waiting to happen so the Cards probably win this one.
September 10, 2026 at 7:06 pm #318632Time is winding down for CCFF in 2026. Only three more to go.
For din-din this Friday it will be Catfish Fiddlers out at the Amish restaurant on the lake. Along with some mashed potatoes/gravy, noodles, green beans, dressing, sweet iced tea, and a piece of Cherry Pie and some vanilla soft serve ice cream. Then afterwards a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar out on the patio out front.
I’d like to see Colson Montgomery do well since he grew up about 30 minutes right down the road from me and I remember seeing him play high school basketball and baseball. He also played football too. I just hope he waits a few days to get hot again.

September 11, 2026 at 9:55 am #318660Tough game tonight for your boys vs Evansville Bosse, Rat. Even though Bosse is off to an 0-3 start, Bosse will be the boss vs Rat’s Wildcats. Coach Hawkins will have his Bulldogs squad hitting on all cylinders. Let’s call it 33-17 Bosse over Jasper’s floundering Wildcats shall we.
In St. Louis, we’re in for a tough series vs those upstart White Sox from Chicago’s south side. Would love to see us get off the 3 game schneid, but something tells me that ChiSox batters are going to love what Libby is dishing up.
And for din-din, I’ll be following Rat’s lead by gulping down a heaping plate of scrumptdillyishish catfish fiddlers. Accompanying the delicious main entry will be hush puppies, cole slaw and for dessert I’ll be swinging on through Popeye’s drive thru lane to snag myself 3 glorious apple cinnamon pies.

stlcard25ParticipantI would be remiss not post this on this solemn day…25 years ago, we experienced such a national tragedy and we must never forget those that died and those that gave their lives to save others. Jack Buck’s poem prior to the first game back that fall always strikes a reminiscent note. We miss Jack and I miss the unity we had as a people in those days after 9/11.
September 11, 2026 at 3:34 pm #318670Although I haven’t seen them at all this season, I’d have to say that the White Sox are undoubtedly the biggest surprise of the ’26 season and that the other 5 division leaders were entirely expected to be situated at or near the top of their respective divisions. I’d also say that with the Indians hot on their heals in the ALC, the Southsiders haven’t won anything yet so, they’ll have plenty of incentive to assert their superiority over a Cardinal team that begins the weekend as near as they can get to last place in the NLC.
September 11, 2026 at 3:43 pm #318671I also just happened to notice that the NLC is the only division to contain 3 teams with E’s placed beside them in the standings and that the ALC is the only division in which none of the teams have yet to be tagged with the presense of that shameful scarlet letter.
September 11, 2026 at 4:29 pm #318673Enjoyed seeing these White Sox in July at their home ball park, as they made a comeback to knock off the Yankees in extras that night. The stadium had a nice crowd – not a sellout but pretty full and enthusiastic.
Meanwhile they still can’t shake those pesky Guardians who like the Brewers in the NLC seem to always be competitive.
Din-din here is sort of boring – fried chicken from our local King Soopers (Kroger) along with potato and/or macaroni salad.
September 11, 2026 at 5:10 pm #318674Well, here we are at the top of that final slope into the offseason. Then it’s a long, cold baseball-less winter wait into what could be a baseball-less spring. Oh the pain of it all! Who knows when we will discover if we have been rebuilt or not! May these last few games fill us with joy!
Speaking of joy, din-din tonight was fried chicken livers, mashed potatoes and gravy, and corn. Dessert was a dish of Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream with the very last strawberries to be had this year.
Rah Cardinals!

CF N. Church LSeptember 11, 2026 at 6:23 pm #318678The home folk get their first glimpse of their catcher for the next 14 years. I think they will be very pleased with Leonardo. I just may have flip-flopped Saggese and Fermin in the batting order tonight. Looks like Kay will be dealing for Chicago tonight……and I’m okay with that.
September 11, 2026 at 6:53 pm #318681Taking a gander at the meteorological conditions for tonights big clash. All clear in the greater metropolitan St. Louis area. The same cannot be said, however, for the greater metropolitan Atlanta area. Rain in the area, the game is delayed, and it might be awhile.
This is a big one down at Fulton County Stadium tonight as the Cubs downed the Pirates 12-2 at Wrigley today. If the Phillies lose they are in a tie with the Cubs in the wild card race.
September 11, 2026 at 7:23 pm #318684The game is in a delay. Not sure how because my Doppler Radar shows absolutely nothing in the St. Louis area.
Reds down 3-0 early at County Stadium in Milwaukee.
Phillies and Braves have started down at Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta.
September 11, 2026 at 7:44 pm #318685If Rat screwed up on his Doppler radar charting and deciphering, I’d be in total shock. Rat simply doesn’t make meteorological blunders…..plain and simple! Anyone know what’s going on at the ol’ ballpark?
September 11, 2026 at 8:02 pm #318688Haha…TLR hasn’t changed. He’s letting this guy with the mic know he still doesn’t enjoy answering silly questions.
September 11, 2026 at 8:05 pm #318689Hasn’t rained at all here 10 miles from Busch.
September 11, 2026 at 8:05 pm #318690Does anyone know why it is delayed?
September 11, 2026 at 8:15 pm #318691I’m guessing a passing summer squall boiled up over the ballpark. Happens all the time down there next to the river.
September 11, 2026 at 8:17 pm #318692Has to be the answer 1td.
The Doppler still shows nothing.
And the Reds now trail the Brewers 10-0 in the 5th at Milwaukee.
UPDATE:
Milwaukee now up 13-0 in the 5th.Second straight blowout for the Reds.

ParticipantSide story, just saw where ben shelton hit a 158 mph serve at the us open. Thats crazy when you think of how fast baseballs go off the bats and they arent near that fast.
September 11, 2026 at 8:35 pm #318696Down by one after a half inning. The way it started, could have been worse.
September 11, 2026 at 8:39 pm #318697The red jerseys aren’t my favorite but looks pretty good paired with the red stirrup socks.
September 11, 2026 at 8:44 pm #318698Back to even. Now Liby has to hold it.
September 11, 2026 at 8:56 pm #3186992-1 Redbirds in the 2nd.
And Pugs?
Hate to tell you but Jasper downed Evansville Bosse 49-6 tonight. -
