Heck of a play by Gorman. Looked like Arenado over there with the bare hand play
April 7, 2026 at 9:08 pm #304218Looked like Rolen and Hernandez…
April 7, 2026 at 9:09 pm #304219O’Brien gets the swinging K for the W.
April 7, 2026 at 9:14 pm #304220Walker’s now collected 4 HR’s and 11 RBI’s in 11 games. He can bring a daisy and butterfly patterned oven mitt to RF if he keeps on ripping the baseball like that.
April 7, 2026 at 9:16 pm #304221Winn worked 2 BB’s and came across to score on both of them.
April 7, 2026 at 9:17 pm #304222Is that Cher with the postgame interview?
April 7, 2026 at 9:24 pm #304223Didn’t like one knee down guy letting it get past him and not getting to it fast enough for a play at the plate.
April 7, 2026 at 9:41 pm #304225Back above sea level. They’ve yet to be underwater this season. I hope that means something.
April 7, 2026 at 10:27 pm #304229I was there for the whole thing. Not a ton to report that hasn’t been said here. I changed caps and attribute the win to that. The Cards fan couple sitting next to me left after the Cards’ 7th and told me that it was all on me and that I’d do what I could. I wore a parka and was cold and don’t think I’ve had that experience at a baseball game since Candlestick in the early ’80s.
Lots of hope for Soriano and Graceffo to support O’Brien and Romero. Naughton at some point can be the 2nd lefty. Stanek will be there trying to get his act together. The other two?
Herrera needs to start hitting better.
April 8, 2026 at 4:35 am #304235Sooner or later they’re going to stop serving Walker high pitches. He hits those.
April 8, 2026 at 6:18 am #304240Thanks for changing caps and bringing us a victory Gagliano!

Then it will be up to Jordan to make adjustments. I’m very cautiously hopeful that he’s turned a corner, but we will know in the next month or two. Having his bat turn into something like what we expected from him (I personally expected him to be a 130-140 OPS+ guy after his rookie year but would be very happy if he was even 120ish) would be an amazing turn of events for the year.
April 8, 2026 at 7:45 am #304246For good or for bad, you usually don’t know what you have with a team until about the end of May.
It doesn’t always hold true but most of the time it does.
April 8, 2026 at 7:52 am #304247Agree ZTR.
It is nice to see Walker start strong. I also hope he has learned his lessons and is able to adjust as the league adjusts to him.
