I had forgotten about those uniforms. I wish I’d stayed that way.
April 11, 2025 at 7:45 pm #279164I tune in to see Pedro Pages playing 2B. What is in the absolute world am I looking at? You mean to tell me the roster construction is Winn going down from shenanigans?
April 11, 2025 at 7:54 pm #279165
stlcard25ParticipantWow. That’s sort of like putting Matt Adams in left.
April 11, 2025 at 7:57 pm #279166This could have counted as a BOLD prediction if you had said Pallante will play a game at 2B. Thus far 1.000 Fielding %.
April 11, 2025 at 8:01 pm #279167I find this difficult to argue with…
Pedro Pages is playing 2nd base for the rest of the game. That makes the game more fun
Thats why Jose Fermin should be on the roster.
That's also why you shouldn't DH Brendan Donovan after an off day when you have 0 backup infielders on the roster 🫠

April 11, 2025 at 8:16 pm #279168Yeah all of those are very good points. There are 5 players who should only be at C or 1B on the roster with Contreras, Burleson, Baker, Pages, Pozo. Donovan shouldn’t be playing DH especially after a day off and Baker needs to be at DH. Really though one of Baker / Burly has to go down or get traded to make a more flexible roster.

jj-cf-stlParticipantHes got the edges all night and a ball off the edge k’s walker. BS.
April 11, 2025 at 8:40 pm #279170I think the ump needs an emergency eye exam. Wow those were some bad calls. Especially the one to Donovan.
April 11, 2025 at 8:56 pm #279171The one to Donovan was atrocious.
Baseball is a funny game. Pages plays 2B in a Pallante start and Pallante changes to mostly getting fly ball outs. Just 2 times he had to field a ball and both hit slowly right at him.
April 11, 2025 at 8:59 pm #279172
jj-cf-stlParticipant6 scoreless from Pallante at 85 pitches
April 11, 2025 at 9:04 pm #279173
jj-cf-stlParticipantBox score shows Donny is at 2B now. Pitcher must be hitting.

ParticipantWell i didnt see this game was on tv where i could watch it til late but go to see helsley close it out. My first cardinal action of the year. Great game by pallante. Only gave up 2 hits. Not bad at all.
April 11, 2025 at 9:43 pm #279175Really good start by Pallante today. Pozo with a great effort off the bench. After reading about his story, I am really rooting for the guy to at least stick around in the majors whether it is with the Cards or another team.

jj-cf-stlParticipantPallante w/7 scoreless, in spite of CB Bucknor. He sets the bar for Mikolas tomorrow.
April 11, 2025 at 9:46 pm #279177Maton has been a really good pickup so far. Already 7 1/3rd innings thrown so far though so they will have to not use him so frequently throughout the whole
April 12, 2025 at 2:56 am #279180The pitcher never hit. Good move by Oli.
Maton has done work for sure. Local boy doing good.
April 12, 2025 at 8:00 am #279184Obviously a real nice turn from Pallante to work a scoreless 7 IP’ed against a formidable Phillies lineup and not only get the W, but also pick up a game on the Cubs who lost 3-0 to the Dodgers. All 3 runs scored by the Dodgers were the result of a 6th inning 3 run tater from our old friend Tommy Edman. Little Eddie’s now once again tied with Aaron Judge for the Big League lead in HR’s with 6…This battle of HR titans could very well end up on a scale that equals or surpasses that of Maris/Mantle…Haha!
April 12, 2025 at 8:57 am #279185Who would have picked little Edman to tied for the ML league in HRs?
April 12, 2025 at 10:03 am #279189Pages deserves an immediate six figure bonus for filling in at 2b.
I think Gorman is set to come off the DL today? 4/12.
