    nice to see JMart back

also nice giving a start to Sosa

speaking of which…Is Sosa destined for AA to start or is going to get a shot at AAA?

AAA is looking pretty crowded but Sosa has looked solid IMo

    C- Pena/Baron/…Knizner?
    1- Voit/Ravelo/Wisdom
    2- Valera/Meija….Schrock?
    3- Wisdom/Munoz/Meija
    SS- Munoz/Meija….Sosa?
    OF- Oneill,Garcia,Valera/Mercado?…Arozarena?

throw in the impressive pitching and it looks to be another AAA champion

Sosa has almost no time at AA. That, coupled with many IFs at Memphis, would seem to target him for Springfield. But this is his second option year so he needs to get moving.

Coincidentally, I will be running my annual look at options article soon.

i figured he would be at AA, but with his play in ST i have been impressed at his play

The AA Springfield INF looks to be loaded also, Seferina-Young-Scrock-Soriano-Nogowski-Dystra-Sosa-Pina-Edman as options.

From previous comment^, Tovar has to be considered for the AAA Redbirds also.

Jose Martinez crushed a ball to right center into the breeze for a 2-run HR. Game tied 4-4 B7th. Delvin Perez is over from minors camp and came into the game at short. Wearing #90. Still beanpole thin.

Cards take lead in B8th on a triple by Arozarena that split CF and RF and rolled to the wall. Came home on a sac fly. Leone to try to get the last three outs. He already has one spring save.

Sherriff was shaky, but Lyons looked really good. Two perfect innings with two Ks.

Perhaps, but I got no hint of that from Matheny after the game. He noted there were a couple of hard-hit balls off Leone. Of course, that has (almost) nothing to do with Opening Day.
