Thom Brennaman said tonight the Cardinals are on pace to break their own record for striking out for the 3rd year in a row. Is that true?

And why so many strikeouts? Which of the following is the reason why?
    1) Everybody is swinging for the fences because homeruns get you more money
    2) Poor major league coaching
    3) Poor minor league coaching
    4) Hitters just aint worth a hoot
    5) Pitchers are just too good nowadays
    6) Hitters wont listen to the coaches
    7) Hitters not being held accountable
    8) What else?

For me it’s simple. We don’t have much talent. Memphis is not the hall of fame conduit that some people think it is and we never get anybody good from the outside. That’s it.

They don’t hit the ball where it’s pitched. Only Carson Kelly did that in the clutch tonight.

    bc:

I know, bc, why don’t you have a clubhouse meeting and tell them to hit the ball where it’s pitched. That should solve the problem.
