    100 pitch count and pull them????

    They must be calling Billy Beane and Peter Brand from the dugout during the game,
    to see what the stats say and when to yank them. 🙂

    Way over analyzed by the stat geeks. If a starter is going strong after 6, leave him know there. He’s in a groove.

    bcc…. agree. Going with so many one inning relievers…. one always seems to have an off night. It happens time and time again. Like you say if a starter is in a groove leave him in.

    ps… this probably won’t happen…. its a new game now. A couple of times through the order and you’re done. Stat sheets predict when he will become ineffective…. even if he is giving a solid performance. There’s no more asking a pitcher if he is feeling strong because they already think they know.
