I hadn’t followed this closely, but that seems like such a fast decline. ALS is a cruel fate that I suppose is mitigated somewhat when it does advance so quickly. I hope this allows SP to now give more energy to baseball and reach his full potential.

so sad…glad he got to be with her at the end and that the money and business of baseball got pushed aside briefly for making it possible for him to do so
he still “feels” like a Cardinal even as an A more so than others who have moved on
