Did Gorman sit on the bench too hard the last few days? Unfortunate to hear though as he started out alright in the 2 games he played.
In a non-contact sport and being in his early 20s – I don’t get this type of injury.
If you are stretching and working on flexibility this type of injury should be a rare, rare bird.
Did someone something happen during one of the games he played that caused this?

Playing baseball involves a lot of quick starts and stops, which can result in injuries like this. Too bad as Gorman seemed to be seeing the ball well in his few ABs.
Hammy’s can be slow to heal. He may not be ready until around Mother’s Day.
For those who may not have ever pulled a hamstring,,,, I’ve only had it happen a couple of times, but when it does, it hurts so bad that you cannot use your leg for much of anything until the hamstring is healed.
Thankfully, it’s a ‘strain’, and not a ‘pulled’ hamstring. Rest and work with trainers will get Gorman all fixed up, hopefully within the ten days of his IL stint.I’ve been led to understand that a torn hamstring is the most severe injury to the muscle and that a pulled hamstring is a serious strain, but normally heals much faster than a complete tear.
