With all the focus on the minor league agreement coming up in one year and the MLB players in two, the current contract with the umpires being due did not get a lot of attention.
What I am anxious to see if how robot umpiring is included (if it is) in this new contract.
There’s new 5-year labor pact between MLB and umpires. Both sides now need to ratify.

Some details. Seems like the robot part is TBD.
MLB-ump 5-year deal provides umps with significant increases in pay/retirement benefits, including provisions to allow umps to retire earlier. Umps agreed to cooperate w/MLB in continuing to develop/test ABS (automatic balls/strikes) and assist if Commish opts to use In MLB

Odd they were able to come up with this new agreement with the Umpire’s Union and didn’t have to fire 1/4 of the umpires to do so.
That is actually too bad. A number of notoriously bad umps should have been replaced by now, but will never lose their jobs. Great work if you can get it…
Perhaps an automated strike zone will minimize their negative impact, so there is that to look forward to…
