3 2016 college draftees on the hill today.

I wonder if Gomber will take Gant’s place in the Memphis rotation Friday?

Jenner to the DL at Memphis. Knizner his replacement? Hard to see that happening with Springfield still in the hunt for a playoff berth.

In a 5-3 Wednesday across the St. Louis Cardinals minor league system, Player of the Day Ramon Santos pitched Palm Beach to a win. Other standout pitchers include Andrew Summerville, Zach Predergast and Angel Rondon.

I spent a lot of time on the Peoria and State College victories. They both were given to us. Incredible finishes.

In the Peoria game, bottom of the 9th down 3-1, the Quad City reliever was starting his third inning…. bottom 3 in the order coming up…. he walks all three. Mike Fennel bounces one off the 2nd baseman… 2 score. Fennell takes second, Robertson Ks (1 out). They intentionally walk Mendoza to get to Hudzina… who singles in the walk-off.

State College won in the away ninth on an error and C Joe Gomez’ (-.100) second XBH of the season. Funny game, this baseball.

First they lose Kelly to the majors (and Fryer) and then Rosario and now Jenner!
