GCL Cards vs. Tigers West (suspended + regular game if win): Francisco JustoThe CGL Cards finished off the 11-5 win this morning. Now in the tiebreaker game, the Tigers have scored 3 in the top of the first to lead 3-0.
Justo got knocked around and Rivera didn’t help. Poor timing with the blow-ups. Roberts is in to see what he can do. The G-Cards should have saved some hits from the first game.
The sandbirds put up a snowman in the 5th of the first game, so there’s that.
Now 9-1 going into the eighth.Tigers scored on a two-out passed ball. Escobar now on the bump. Doesn’t look too good for the home team.
Does anyone think Walker Robbins gets converted to pitcher? So far in his pro career he hasn’t hit worth a lick and coming out of HS some saw him as a pitcher. This was the second recent appearance he’s made as a pitcher in a game that needed a BP arm. He’s left-handed and has good size, so maybe this would be a good way to turn his career around.
