We know that Toerner is one of the most underrated players in the organization. Now add to that list Ps ARondon and DCordero. Both are 21 and have been consistent on the plus side so both are in line for a promotion. Not to pick on anyone in particular but Arauz just isn’t getting it done at Springfield.

That twin-bill at Peoria yesterday went the way of so many minor league double-headers… low scoring (2-1 & 2-0) and little excitement. Maybe someone out there has a theory as to why that is. Peoria will have another double-header tomorrow, maybe we’ll see some offense. Cordero and Seijas are in line to start unless the rotation needs to be juggled because of the postponements in the schedule.

Jake Woodford with 7 scoreless and Tyler O’Neill had another dinger as the Memphis squad wins a laugher over the Sounds.

Nolan Gorman just hit a homer to tie the game with Beloit 3-3. The announcer said 355 ft.

Gorman with a triple, thrown out at home trying to stretch it. Outside shot at a cycle tonight.

Fagalde goes 7 innings while only throwing 80 pitches. Who is he, Kyle Hendricks?

Delvin Perez continues to have a quietly solid year.

Alexander “The Great” is indeed a blue chipper, Scotty! He belongs in Palm Beach to the extent that I belong in Istanbul. This man needs to be challenged…..and challenged quickly.

A lot of fans are watching our two wunderkins at Peoria but Gorman and Perez provided the excitement.
Seeing Perez hitting so well is cause for optimism. He still has only the two X-base hits and only the 5 BBs but he has at least risen from the ashes ala the Phoenix.

Nunez and Torres are facing some better pitching and will need some more time to get acclimated. Not too much happening with them so far.
