Just my opinion but seriously? Non Player of the Day David Vinsky went 5 for 5 two doubles and 3 rbis. 5 – 5 is 5 – 5. Maybe co-Player of the Day at least? Kudos to Vinsky for his perfect day at the plate. Geez, I know the Spikes lost…. because their pitchers gave up 14 runs but c’mon break him off a piece of Kit-Kat.July 14, 2019 at 12:01 pm #97892BlackHillsCardParticipantFree
The DSL All-Star Game is in the midst of a rain delay in the top of the 7th and I just discovered they don’t cover the entire infield, only the batting area and pitcher’s mound. The infield is now flooded.July 14, 2019 at 12:17 pm #97897BlackHillsCardParticipantFree
Well that completely sucks. They called the game in the bottom of the 7th. Al squad wins 5-4July 14, 2019 at 6:51 pm #97976Derek ShoreParticipantPaid - Annual
FaGalde was scratched from his start tonight. No update on his status.July 14, 2019 at 6:55 pm #97977PugsleyAddamsParticipantPaid - Annual
Oh no!! It better be some 3 day virus and not his arm.July 14, 2019 at 7:46 pm #97978Derek ShoreParticipantPaid - Annual
I’d say injury-related. He was warming up per usual and even went out to throw his bullpen 20-25 minutes before the game before being scratched.July 14, 2019 at 10:30 pm #97982PugsleyAddamsParticipantPaid - Annual
Hope he just has a nail issue or something as benign. My optimistic crystal ball reveals visions of our 2021 rotation of Flaherty, Fagalde, Hudson and Ponce having the same kind of success as the Oriole 1971 rotation, where they had four 20 game winners….Palmer, Cuellar, McNally….(do not want to cheat by looking)….and I want to say Mike Torrez.
*Nope, just looked it up and it was Pat Dobson and not Mike Torrez.

The #stlcards system went 2-4 on Sunday. Jacob Patterson pitched well in an unexpected bullpen game and win for Springfield but Ivan Herrera’s five hits were not enough for Peoria to avoid a one-run defeat. Our young hero Ludwin Jimenez is taking some lumps as a still 17 year old in the GCL, but the peripherals still look good. 11.8 K/9 and a not crazy 3.9 BB/9 for a 3.98 FIP. He’s getting BABIPed pretty good so the ERA is not great but he’s holding his own more than it appears. When the numbers come into line with the peripherals he’s gonna start to get some buzz, IMO.
