April 14, 2019 at 12:36 pm #87323Let’s go Shew! He is the stopper.
April 14, 2019 at 12:45 pm #87326Zach Kirtley is gunning for rare back-to-back Player of the Day honors with a single, walk and two-run homer to lead @GoPBCardinals to their 9th win in 11 games, 5-3 at Charlotte on Sunday. Palm Beach has the best record in the #stlcards system and high-A Florida State League.

April 14, 2019 at 12:50 pm #87329Oviedo with another fine effort today. 6 innings and 6 strikeouts with 2 walks with 7 hits and only 2 earned runs. He battled and limited the damage when it counted. Bullpen remains a major plus for the Beach Birds, however Junior Fernandez stumbled in the 9th a bit with a leadoff walk, wild pitch and single to put runners on the corners and no outs. He closed out for the save and only allowed the runner from 3B to score on a groundout. It’s his first run allowed this season in 7 innings (5 games).
April 14, 2019 at 4:05 pm #87348Alex Reyes comes into the 7th inning and tosses a scoreless inning on 25 pitches, 13 for strikes, for a swinging strikeout and 2 walks.
April 14, 2019 at 4:17 pm #87352Alex Reyes was effectively wild in his third outing for the @memphisredbirds today: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 2 K. He threw 36 pitches, 19 of which for strikes. #STLCards

April 14, 2019 at 4:23 pm #87353Memphis loses 6-7 after having the lead on 4 different occasions. The pitching of Gomber and Meisenger couldn’t hold the lead.
April 14, 2019 at 4:28 pm #87355Luke Gregerson with another rehab outing for Springfield. Tosses a perfect 6th inning on 16 pitches for 2 strikeouts.
April 14, 2019 at 5:20 pm #87375Does anyone know where I can find the amount of blown saves by pitcher and by team in the minor leagues?
Springfield has to be on pace for a record.
April 14, 2019 at 5:39 pm #87387Irving Lopez is putting himself on the prospect map after these first 12 games. Lopez with another walk-off home run for Springfield. This time it was a 2-run bomb to right field.
April 14, 2019 at 5:39 pm #87388
stlcard25ParticipantLooks like Irving Lopez bailed the pen out and walked it off with a homer and an 8-6 Springfield win.
April 14, 2019 at 5:45 pm #87393The @Sgf_Cardinals have now recorded three walk-off wins in four days, completing the four-game sweep of NW Arkansas today. That comes after starting the season off 0-7 on the road.
Irving Lopez collected two walk-off homers this weekend.

April 15, 2019 at 7:10 am #87423The #stlcards minors went 2-1 on Sunday. Our Player of the Day is Springfield 2B Irving Lopez, whose 2nd walk-off home run of the weekend closed his club’s sweep. Palm Beach won its minor league best 9th game behind RHS Johan Oviedo and a prolific offense. https://t.co/s8eO4BOLBb pic.twitter.com/atjKlX9ZWQ
