I get to see Parsons pitch tonight in Springfield with the wife. Hoping the rain stays away.

If that skipper of the FSL all-star were smart, he’d start Alexander “The Great”, and let him go the distance. THAT right there is the kind of respect Fagalde should command. He continues to maintain a WHIP well south of 1 and yet the Cardinals refuse to promote him. He’ll be 40 and this team will still have him plying his trade in Palm Beach. Alexander “The Great” Fagalde receives far less respect that Rodney Dangerfield ever dreamed of not getting. I’m getting to the point where I believe the Cardinals must trade him……and that my friends is a crying shame!

Parsons works around a one out double. Batters were not timing his pitches very well. 2 ground outs and a strike out. Velocity 92 to 95 if you trust the gun. He was pitching agressively. Carlson with a no doubter deep over center field wall to lead off Springfield

Parsons gives up 2 hits with one out before opening up his arsenal getting first pitch called strikes on off speed pitches before retiring both on soft contact. Radar gun more consistant at 92 on the fastball

Parsons gives up lead off home run in 3rd and retires next 3 without incident. He is attacking the plate all night, no nibbling so far.

Hooks make Parsons throw a few extra pitches in the 4th but he is up to the challenge. 4ip, 5 hits, 0 walks, 69 pitches. Fastball now consistently at 89-90.

On the redbird side, Kirtly hit it on the nose both times with a deep double to show. Toerner 0-2 striking out looking bad and a hard liner pulled right to first baseman. Think misies walked both times. Ascano rbi double and a gem in the field at SS. 3-1 good guys in bottom 4

Indeed, a win-win for the esteemed Mr. Perkins. Watching his Springfield Cardinals snap off a nice victory and doing so in the company of his lovely young bride….though I think it’s been a good year now since Mr. Perkins was abruptly taken off the dating market…much to the dismay of many a young damsel…..especially that pretty IRS lady who was looking to make an honest man out of Mr. Perkins.

It’s a good thing Mrs Perkins doesn’t read here. She doesn’t like hearing about the near misses of past near Mrs’s.
