    Quite a lineup of pitchers.

That “quite a lineup” turned in some stellar pitching performances.

Was referring mainly to the 2 primarily relieve pitchers starting at Memphis and Springfield. Unusual.

    Alcantara and Montgomery.

They wont make a move until September 1st. We will be basically out of it by then.

In a 5-2 Monday across the St. Louis Cardinals minor league system, Player of the Day Breyvic Valera delivered a walk-off single for Memphis. Adolis Garcia went deep twice for Springfield. Standout pitchers include Kevin Herget, Pedro Echemendia, Sam Tewes, Anthony Shew and Evan Guillory.

booyah, not that it is going to matter greatly, but Sept. 1 is just three days ahead. If real help was really that close, it would be great.

My player of the day yesterday (FWIW) was Brandon Benson. 4 out of 4 with 3 RBIs. Dark horse, but had eye popping numbers at Geo. St. before being drafted –

    210 ABs
    22 HRs
    78 RBIs
    .395 BA
