Don’t know how Woodall lasted until the 10th round this year. Here were his stats at Coastal Carolina –

    245ABs/.298/.418/.576/.994/19HRs/62RBI/65Ks/45Ws

Maybe it’s because he stayed for his 4th year to get his degree in finance. Any other reasons?

Pretty good plate discipline for a big power hitter. He and Baker are going to be fun to watch come through the system at 1B.

Who would be a good comp for Woodall? Luke Voit perhaps?

Coastal Carolina could also be a factor.

Was he on their national championship team?

He was on the 2016 team as a sophmore, but didn’t start.

Why would Coastal Carolina be a factor, BW?

Offense-heavy reputation and perhaps slightly lesser conference.

Won the National Championship in 2016. In 2018, they played teams like –

    Virginia Tach
    Oklahoma
    Kansas State
    Indiana
    Charleston
    Illinois
    West Virginia
    Maryland
    Wake Forest
    Ohio State
    Clemson
    South Alabama
    North Carolina
    Washington
    UConn

Not too bad of a schedule.
