Tuesday’s starters:
Memphis at Charlotte: LHP Zack Thompson (2-1, 4.12)
Springfield vs. Ark.: RHP Edgar Escobar (2-1, 5.58)
Peoria at wis.: RHP Zane Mills (1-3, 3.88)
Palm Beach vs. Jup.: RHP Trent Baker (2-4, 2.34)
June 1, 2022 at 6:28 am #186759Reason no. 777 as to why you shouldn’t get your news from team-run websites. Memphis’ game recap left out the part that Zack Thompson couldn’t get out of the first inning. In fact, his name is never mentioned. Amazingly, not a single Redbirds pitcher was named. They called the game, in which Memphis pitching gave up 14 runs, “a sluggish start”.

June 1, 2022 at 8:14 am #186764Hope we don’t see another McGreevy melt down.
June 1, 2022 at 2:08 pm #186796Nice to see Masyn Blaze Winn off to a real good start at Double-A. Hasn’t missed a beat since leaving Peoria and joining Jordan Walker in Springfield.
And speaking of that prospect pair, I did a little research. They are not only the two youngest position players in all of AA, they are also the two youngest players relative to their league in all of the minors at any level of competition. (Brewer teen phenom Jackson Chourio is closest, as he turned 18 on March 11 and is currently in Low-A, so he’s 10 days older than Masyn, compared to their leagues.)

stlcard25ParticipantWithout a doubt, the best system day of the year so far. The three teams that completed games allowed a total of 10 hits and 1 run, with three easy victories. Quite a few candidates for POTD, so it should be interesting to see the pick.
June 3, 2022 at 7:39 am #186906The #STLCards system dominated on Wednesday, going 3-0 (Palm Beach's game was suspended by rain) while outscoring opponents by a combined score of 27-to-1.
TCN's Player of the Day is Ivan Herrera, who went 4-for-6 with a 3-run homer for Memphis.https://t.co/CCwsFG4w0W

stlcard25ParticipantI would think 2 HR and a double trumps one HR and three singles. But it’s a small quibble. FWIW, Steamer projects Walker at 104 wRC+ for the rest of the major league season, and Burleson at 111.
Seems only a matter of time til these guys are hitting in the big leagues.
June 3, 2022 at 7:20 pm #186969What is the story on Pages? Hasn’t played in nearly a week. Injured? Táxi squad?
June 4, 2022 at 7:51 am #186990The #STLCards system was 1-2 on Friday with Memphis claiming the only victory and Palm Beach's doubleheader getting rained out.
TCN's Player of the Day is Paul DeJong, who blasted an opposite field homer and went 2-for-3 in Memphis' victory. https://t.co/CNZHSnM323

June 4, 2022 at 8:10 am #186991PDJ has been doing a Goldy impersonation the last week. Maybe he gathered up all that babble and chucked it overboard.
June 5, 2022 at 3:36 pm #187115The #STLCards system went 2-1 on Saturday. Rehabbing outfielder and Player of the Day Tyler O'Neill hit a late go-ahead HR to help Memphis overcome Charlotte.
