Marlins Thread

So the Marlins have gutted their entire organization by firing 70+ personnel with more likely coming as contracts expire on October 31. These firings include club house attendants, coaches, scouts, etc.

I simply do not understand the need to fire your club house attendant, dietitian, and traveling secretary just to name a few positions. This was a purge and for what?

The Marlins are one of the absolute worst run organizations in MLB. Right up there with the Rockies, White Sox, Angels, and A’s. Everything they do turns to mud.

The Marlins house attendants have consistently ranked in the bottom 10% in all of baseball over the last 5 years, Black Hills. They definitely needed to clean house.

I would guess the ownership group overpaid for the Marlins and are doing this as purely a cost-cutting move during the offseason when they have no revenue.

MLB has convinced ownership groups that they must cry poor to get taxpayers to cough up money to subsidize their investments.
