On the VEB game thread yesterday, they reached out to Jeff Jones and he reached out to the Cardinals. The response he got was Williams has a “hamstring issue.”
No reason was given as to why he has not been placed on the IL.
The Cardinals don’t give out a lot of information on their minor leaguers apparently. It took me three months to find out that Austin Dean has been out with a broken hamate bone.
That’s just weird. It was the same with Jordan Walker. Seems like the playing status of players should be available, regardless of their place in the organization.
