I love that he stood up and did what was right against Trudeau and the Canadian Gov’t. Trade Flaherty for him.
July 13, 2022 at 12:20 pm #191067I disagree. Realmuto has shown himself to be a self-satisfied jerk without consideration for his team or others whom he might infect. On the other hand, the Cardinals do look like they use use a top-flight catcher in the future, which Realmuto undoubtedly is, and they probably won’t have to play in Toronto for a while. However, it is completely absurd to even suggest that the Phillies might trade him for a pitcher with an uncertain future who might not even be able to pitch at all this season. The writer has apparently allowed his unwarranted hatred for Flaherty to distort his reason.
July 13, 2022 at 12:22 pm #191068Give them whatever they want! Take Flaherty for sure. I just watched it and he is my favorite non-Cards player now.
July 13, 2022 at 12:23 pm #191069What did Realmuto do?
July 13, 2022 at 12:24 pm #191070I didn’t intend 2 posts. This one should be deleted.
July 13, 2022 at 12:28 pm #191071He refused to be vaccinated and made himself ineligible to join his team in Toronto.
July 13, 2022 at 12:49 pm #191072Realmuto is a good guy. He’d be a great get for the Cards, but highly unlikely that ever happens. Seems like he and the Phils are locked into each other.
July 13, 2022 at 1:29 pm #191073I know I sound like a broken record, but bring on Contreras. I’m well aware that we trade with our arch rivals about as often as Knizner registers 3 hits in a game, but the Cubs have a piece of the puzzle that we desperately need and we have an entire fistful of the pieces in which they covet. It could be a beautiful thing for both organizations if a trade could be consummated. If Mo isn’t looking into this, then Mo is flat out not doing his job. This is your wake-up call, Mo………go get him.
July 13, 2022 at 1:59 pm #191074July 13, 2022 at 2:18 pm #191075Realmuto should vaccinate, shut up, and play. Correct? Definitely not a Team player. Lol.
July 13, 2022 at 2:21 pm #191076I have a new respect for him. He is doing the right thing by telling the Canadian Gov’t to shove it.
July 13, 2022 at 2:23 pm #191077I have totally lost respect for him. You go into another Country you should respect their rules. And the fact he doesn’t give a rats ass about his teammates. Brittney Griner is learning the hard way.

ParticipantWhy would the Cardinals want a player who refused to be vaccinated, to the detriment of joining his team?
July 13, 2022 at 3:03 pm #191079His body, his choice, simple as that. The same people crying about it and forcing the vaccine nonsense are the same ones all upset over a recent SC decision… it can’t just be “my body my choice” when it comes to their precious lil feelings.
JT for 3rd in MVP!
July 13, 2022 at 3:10 pm #191080This is turning into a political discussion here.
July 13, 2022 at 3:14 pm #191082I have not taken the experimental shot that they call a vaccine. There are thousands of vaccinated-related deaths caused by this spiked protein shot. Realmuto and millions of us who have researched this are making the right decision. No Government has the right to make us take this crap. Go read Drs. Peter McCullough, Robert Malone & Ryan Cole if you want to read the truth. The media and Pharma are feeding you lies and propaganda. Realmuto is a hero for standing up.
July 13, 2022 at 3:17 pm #191084We’re at a dangerous juncture, gang. This is where different Cardinal Nation factions can blossom and then team up to combat each other. We could have the likes of CardsFanInChiTown, Rat, GameCard, Wooster and Euro Dandy formidably banding together as one to square off against the likes of Team Cranny, with KansasCardFan, Cardinals27, stlcard25 and Booyah. Let’s tread carefully in these swirling waters, gentlemen. Thank you.
July 13, 2022 at 3:23 pm #191085Total respect for REALMUTO, the vax has already shown that it doesn’t stop you from getting it anyway. Him standing up for himself is great tell the Canadian Gov to shove it!

ParticipantEvery doctor I have talked to in St. Louis recommends getting vaccinated, including boosters. I go along with professionals whom I know and trust.
July 13, 2022 at 4:26 pm #191096The Doctor I see at Barnes, chair of her Dept. would jump in the middle of folks for not taking vaccine. Teaches at Wash U. I have lost about 8-10 friends at this point. Some Dems some Pubs. Good friend didn’t think it was real. He died the night before I hit the er with it. Is a choice. Make a wise informed decision and do what you want. Sorry to get off track. It struck a nerve. Back to baseball

July 13, 2022 at 4:43 pm #191101Many Doctors are too tied in with Pharma to want to know the truth. My Dr. tried to get me to take it and I told him no. Do the research yourself.
July 13, 2022 at 5:57 pm #191108I got the shot and booster, and still got Covid. But my symptoms were little more than a mild cold. Glad I was vaccinated as maybe it would have been worse without it.
Personally even if I felt the vaccine was unwarranted, if it meant missing some games I would have gotten it to support my teammates. Sometimes you need to put your own views behind that of the greater good.
Like Realmuto said, he’s a 31 year old athlete. Chances are near nil he would be disabled from the vaccine.
