Still on the 40 man roster. He was activated by Memphis on April 11th but hasn’t appeared in a game. Seems like a candidate along with Zuniga to be dropped off the 40 man if space is needed.
Fermin was not activated. The transaction you saw was in error. That is how it is reflected on our Rostee Matrix. He remains on Memphis’ IL and could not be outrighted until healthy.
I think that if it came to it, Naile would be more of a DFA candidate than Zuniga. Others may see it differently.
I agree Brian. Naile is definitely a better DFA candidate. Zuniga, while he hasn’t been effective, does have that extreme velocity. He can look really great sometimes. But that usually just lasts a batter or 2. Still, I think the Cardinals at least try to hang onto him for a full season. Naile just doesn’t have much upside. He’d probably pass through waivers again.
