June 13, 2019. Cubs in Los Angeles to face the Dodgers. Lester and Kershaw. I’ve got this game on DVD and I am in the mood to watch an actual game so I am going to toss this one in the DVD player about 10:00 or so. Will be nice to watch a game with actual fans.
Looking forward to this. Everyone is invited. Bring your own beer, pizza, and cigars. And Beware of the ferocious beast Whitey Herdog!

Kershaw vs Lester in LA on a warm summer night?
Get serious. Count me in, Rat……as long as you keep Cujo, the killer canine, at bay. Instead of beer, it’s a healthy flask of the Wild Turkey for your’s truly. The only issue that I have with Wild Turkey though is that if I consume too much, I cannot resist heading on out to the backward to launch off a bunch of fireworks. I can usually get in a good 15-20 minutes before the fuzz comes a calling, thus sending me to the friendly confines of my basement until the heat moves on out of the area. Funny thing though…..I have a heart surgeon living on one side of me and a judge on the other. And guess who heads right on out to their respective back yards to catch the action when the fireworks commence? Yep, both, almost without fail. I got “Jer” or Jerry the Judge, hooked on Wild Turkey many moons ago, and his lovely wifey hasn’t spoke to me since. Fire up your stoggie Rat…… I’ll be right there with you, until the last pitch has been heaved and the cows have come home.I’ll be over in a few. Luckily I just churned a batch of homemade vanilla ice cream yesterday that’ll go great with a June baseball game. I’ll also bring some nice Scotch. If either of you need a change up to complement your beer or Wild Turkey, it’ll do the trick.
You just made it to the show by one scant minute, Euro. Scotch & homemade vanilla ice cream……num num num….sounds like something dear ole’ mom used to make. Let’s play ball! Call me cRaZy, but I like the cubbies in this game.
A Schwarber solo shot and a Contreras rbi base knock get the cubbies off to lightening quick 2-0 advantage vs Kershaw as we mozzy along to the bottom of the 1st in the city of Angels…..and artful Dodgers too.
Lester looks as sharp as a tack in the early going here. This very well could be a short short night for Dodger hitters.
Kris “Krybaby” Bryant with a towering solo blast well up into the right-center field pavillion to increase the cub lead to 3-0. All cubbies thus far in this affair. Rat? How’s your snarly toothed pooch holding out? Counting sheep I bet by now. Euro? Hanging in there?
Oops, I had to change to a different venue. I forgot I taped over the Cubs/Dodgers game to record the MLB show on the Cardinals of the 80s.
Instead its the 2018 game from 5 July in AT&T with the Redbirds and Giants. Weaver had a perfect game into the 6th on this one. Gyorko with a 3 run homer and 2 run double.
Its 9-2 Cards heading to the top of the 7th now. Time to light up the last cigar before this one ends.

Major screw-up, Rat! What do we do now? Maybe the only way to play this is to have the combined 2018 Cards-Giants squads face off vs the 2019 Dodgers-cubbies teams? If so, my money is on the Cards-Giants and their 30+ lifetime NL pennants.
