A BIG issue with Oh last year was that LH hitters were absolutely teeing off on him (1.000+ OPS). Well, that’s continued this season (.900+ OPS), however, the Jays are using him nearly exclusively as a ROOGY.
Matheny wouldn’t have known he struggles against LH hitters after he DOMINATED them in 2016 (.400+ OPS).
It’s hard to connect why they signed Holland and Gregorson in an any way.
And as far as an Adams reboot. Cards wouldn’t pay 4 million for a bench bat when they already knew they’d be paying $16 million for one who can no longer hit from the right side and already invested via trade in another who hits some singles.
