Yankees and WhiteSox are in the Field of Dreams game tonight. Having said that, I did recently read that Huntingburg, Indiana, the home of League Stadium that was featured in the movie “A League Of Their Own” is now trying to get a MLB game at their place.

League Stadium is the site where Tom Hanks uttered the famous saying “There’s No Crying In Baseball” and also the home of the Dubois County Bombers, a member of the Ohio Valley Wooden Bat League.

I read an article that said if they do one next year it might feature the cubs. What a waste of a good moment.

Enjoying the game, but you would think in this game of all games, the White Sox would actually wear white socks.

On my visit to the Hall of Fame years ago they had a close out sale on hats with the interlocking “Sox” logo. I grabbed one and still have it. That is such a cool logo.

I thought the event was well done. It was very cool when Kevin Costner and the players walked out of the corn field and of course it was a dramatic ending to the game.

Maybe next year the Cards and Cubs will play there.

I really enjoyed that one, and the ninth inning was an instant classic. Good to see Lance Lynn still going strong. Voit in the game as well.

Apparently the cubs are going to be in the game next year. Ruins it even if the Cardinals are in it.

I think that game should always be the White Sox against somebody. But again, I tend to harp on this a lot, the White Sox should be wearing white socks!

They should have those as part of their everyday uniform too, not just for the Field of Dreams game.

But big time sports have lost their connection to reality in a lot of ways. The biggest examples are college conferences. The Big 10 has something like 14 teams. I guess technically it can still be called the Big 10, with 4 teams in the conference not being “Big”. The Southeast Conference looks like it will have Texas and Oklahoma. The Mountain West has teams from the west coast. The PAC-12 includes teams located in the mountain west and southwestern desert.

The world does not make much sense in many ways.
