What’s the latest on his arm? Last I heard he might have issues throwing next year and be relegated to the DH role only. And, as a result, have zero trade value.

The last I heard is he had flexor tenden surgery about August 1 and is expected to be ready to go for ST. John Denton has reported that it was an Internal Brace procedure rather than a Tommy John. Internal Brace has a much shorter recovery time. For example, earlier this season Trevor Story returned to MLB game action just under 7 months after internal brace surgery on his throwing elbow. If Donovan’s recovery time line is the same, he would be ready for game action just before March 1.
