O’Neill and Munoz up. Broken hand for DeJong. Blisters for Bowman. DL up to 10 players.

Hopefully O’Neill will get more playing time than before. DeJong will be missed.

Dejong is a big loss. We couldn’t afford that one.

Ouch, this hurts the club as much as it does DeJong. Gotta hope we can stay within striking distance until Molina, DeJong and hopefully Reyes are all on the roster and contributing (and hope no one else goes to the DL).

I’m beginning to wonder if we have anybody left to play the games the way our DL is filling up…

It is very similar to the Yadi injury. They were the 2 spots we didn’t really have any for sure backup plan that didn’t provide a substantial downgrade. With all due respect to aKELLY AND Munoz

I had proposed ideas in the off-season from getting Realmuto in the Ozuna deal as a means to mitigate 1b and catcher depth. Also I talked about hechavarria a lot in a deal with the Rays to pair with Archer or Colome for SS depth. Using Kelly for the Rays or Marlins deal. Knit era could still develop and be ready when Yaris contract was up and or Realmuto hit FA

I thought Realmuto would be a capable starting 1b and backup or part time catcher who could be our starter at 1b and backup catcher. Thus allowing the 4 man bench to be used like a 5 man bench. In hindsight I’m not sure how JMart fits into that

The way the Rays were dealing I thought hehcavarria would have been a getable solid SS. In fact he may still be available. Might be a call to be made now still.

Well now they have a built in excuse for the slide down the standings. Even though that slide had already started over the past week plus. I hope for a speedy recovery for all players on the DL. Dejong will be ok in the long run but still it’s a tough loss.

Waino, Yadi, Carlos, now DeJong. What are the odds of all these guys going on the DL while the slumping players stay fit as a fiddle. I’m not advocating by any stretch of the imagination that I would ever want to see any player hurt. But these injuries do stick out like an awfully sore thumb. Our 2018 Cardinals are just plain unlucky.

Maybe we could use Machado after all.

And the question to Matheny is, “How do you best protect Matt Carpenter?” Here is the answer.

    Well, that certainly sounds promising.

As I said earlier today the problems start at the very top and goes from there. Wow talk about dysfunction in messaging.

All of this miss communication is ultimately Mo’s fault for hiring Matheny in the first place.

Sounds like a pending staff meeting first thing in the morning.
