    Give up unheralded A ball pitcher. Allen appears tô be the epítome of a AAAA player with great minor league stats and terrible MLB stats. Only negative is that he needs a 40 msn roster spot.

    Anyone have the 411 on his defense?

    I’m pretty sure Allen doesn’t need a 40-man spot. His wiki says he was outrighted to the minors in May, and he does not appear on the 40-man roster at MLB, whereas they do show Montgomery, albeit “minors” which is maybe what they do when the guy needs to travel? Allen is a native St. Louisan.

    He seems like a duplicate of Coulter who we already have in Memphis. I assume either Coulter or Pages will be off Memphis’s roster very soon.
