The article just says the Tigers will probably be sellers at the deadline and their lefty Eduardo Rodriguez would fit nicely with the Cardinals, who have some excess players that could be offered. There is no suggestion that there is presently any talks.
Detroit’s in 2nd place at 2.5 back in the ALC. On second thought, they probably wish they could quit now. If the season would have been cancelled after the Toronto series, the Cardinals would be in pretty good shape…
They mentioned the Cardinals sending an outfielder or two for Eduardo Rodriguez. With the deadline almost three months away it is rather pointless at this point.
They would have to get creative to make this even remotely possible. Then you have the whole lefty thing….You don’t get rid of someone you have 3 lefty starters and then Jack, Mikolas, Waino ect…
