Last night (Tuesday) in the Reds and Braves game in Atlanta there was a pop foul over behind 3rd base. Both Eugene Suarez and Elly de la Cruz went over to catch it. They were over there joking around, right next to each other, sort of pushing each other, laughing and clowning around, and de la Cruz eventually caught the ball.
Later Brantley said that was not what it’s all about. He was on their case for turning something into a big joke. He finally said something that impressed me. If I would have been Tito Francona I would have jerked them off the rield right then and there and put in a new SS and 3rdbaseman.
And by the way, Brantley is a former Cardinal.
