I’m so depressed that I’m thinking about finding some doctor to give me some pills. I hope the Dbacks trade you some place where you can get a ring. Looking forward to your HOF induction.

It was a nice statement. I was one of those that had wanted arenado a while before we actually got him. Outside of the first season though, offense wise it just didnt pan out. I dont know if it was the stadium, age, etc but it just didnt far as expectations go. Defense wise he def did. Though i still think rolen is the best defensive third baseman weve had. Typically with soneone as good defensively as he is, i dont expect as much offensively cause i think great defense is as or more important than scoring runs but we didnt have much else other than goldy so we needed that offense. Still a great run and i always appreciated his work ethic. I wish him the best

A class act. Wish we could have gotten to the top in ’22 with that great group of vets and young guys we had that year. The number 1 and 3 MVPs, Albert coming back with that great year. It came together then went “poof”.

Being back in the NL West it will be tough to get to post season with those Dodgers almost having a lock on the division title. But you never know.

    Good luck, Nolan!

What that 2022 team lacked was an ace starter to match up with the guys Philly threw out there in the Division Series. Looking back, Mo balked at including Tyler O’Neill or Harrison Bader in a trade for Zack Wheeler. Wheeler’s deal with Philadelphia ended up being a great bargain for them.

Bottom line, you need all phases of the game to be top notch to win in October and the Cards just didn’t have it that year, sadly.

To Nolan, I am thankful for your time here and hope you get to take down the Dodgers in Arizona!

I’m still bitter on how he and Goldy quit on the team for the Toronto series. That selfishness will never escape me.

BHC, can you give more details about Nolan and Goldy and the Toronto series? I have small kids now and don’t get to check baseball news every day now. What was the story here?

Edit: In googling I take it to mean them refusing Covid shots to enter Canada for the 2 day series? I’m not going to jump into that hornet’s nest!
