JMart is no bigger of a clown than Wainwright in my opinion when it comes to acting goofy in the dugout or during off days.

Ya’ll sure get off topic easy.

Want me to drop the nickname? Fine, whatever. In the words of Brebbia, “cry me a river”.

Drew Robinson has played SS for 50 games since turning pro. His statcast speed is the same as Wongs, who both dwarf Gyorko, so his range should be there. Never seen him field though.

Any interest in Freddy Galvis? Good glove that can play second, third and short. Average bat, some power, but swings from the right side. Made $6.8m last year, but should go for less …

With the emergence of Yairo Munoz, I really would not be inclined to sign the likes of a Freddy Galvis, 1964Cards. But, he’s going to be a very nice addition for some lucky team, at about 4MM for a one year stint. When I hear the name “Freddy Galvis”, the words “durability” and “dependability” spring forth. Freddy kind of reminds me of our old pal, Ronnie Belliard, not to be confused with Rafael Belliard….especially in the looks department. Freddy, Ronnie and Yairo look very much alike.

Ben Fredrickson in today’s post Dispatch:

The club’s commitment to Fowler remains. But now team officials are saying what fans have said since the season ended — that trading Martinez for a player or players who are not ready to make an immediate major league difference does not make much sense for a team trying to win now.

This is contradictory. Committing to a left-fielder that won’t be an offensive force (even if he produces as his first season with the Cards). He won’t return to his one good season with the Cubs and can’t be expected to. Add in that his defensive capabilities have fallen drastically and perhaps equal to JoMartinez. How is that “trying to win”? IMO the options that the Cards have would improve the team. The FO is pitching us more fake news.

As a scribe, Fredrickson is drinking the Kool-aid.
