Seems like spring training is ending earlier each year.

    Cardinals press release

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they will play an exhibition game against the Texas Rangers on Monday, March 23, 2020 (7:05 p.m. CT) at the new Globe Life Field that is set to open in 2020 in Arlington, Texas.

“We are honored to be chosen by the Texas Rangers to serve as their opponent when they begin play in their new home ball park next March,” stated Cardinals’ President of Baseball Operations John Mozeliak. “It’s an exciting time of year as you get ready to open the season, and to have our final tune-up game at the Rangers new Globe Life Field will certainly add to that excitement.”

The Cardinals will break spring training camp in Florida the final week of March and make their way to Arlington, before opening the 2020 regular season schedule later that week. The complete 2020 St. Louis Cardinals Spring Training schedule and ticket information, as well as additional information on the exhibition game in Arlington, will be announced at a later date.

Well the players wanted more days off didn’t they? Also no Memphis visit one would guess?

One wonders with the current state of affairs if The VP, GM and manager will get to see the opening of this new cathedral in Arlington.
