The last check swing that the umpire ruled a swing was a bad call.
At least it looked that way to me.
Brewers got a huge break there.
5-4 Milwaukee the final.

ParticipantI hope our new hitting coach instills a philosophy that it seems the Brewers use. Working counts and fouling off pitches. Taking meaningful at bats even if it’s an out. Get the starting pitchers pitch counts up early. Chourio was the guy I noticed hitting early in the count.
October 25, 2026 at 10:36 am #321760These tight games have been fun to watch. Some excellent baseball. And a bit of dumb stuff. I may have even learned all the names by the time it’s over. Let’s see if the change to Florida has ant significant effect.

October 26, 2026 at 3:09 pm #321815Game Three tonight down in Tampa Bay at Joe Robbie Stadium.
This is obviously a MUST win for the Rays.
Me and Whitey Herdog will be on the couch for this one. Along with a couple of 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigars.

October 26, 2026 at 5:25 pm #321823No go again for me as I will be over the ocean this evening flying back to the mainland. Might only see one game in this one. If Milwaukee sweeps they will have lost only one post season game I believe.
October 26, 2026 at 8:40 pm #321832Milwaukee up 8-0 now in the 5th.
This World Series is history.
See you in 2027.
Or 2028 perhaps.
October 26, 2026 at 8:40 pm #321834These beermen are doing it again! 8-0 in the fifth. Holy cow!

ParticipantCrazy how one or two plays can change everything. First was yellich beating the throw at second which was originally called out but challenged. Then the line drive up the middle that the shortstop very nearly came up with. After that hit after hit. Makes you wonder about how many games in the past might have been changed if they had replay and challenges.esp the play at second, at one time those were just automatic outs, umps wouldnt even discuss them. Times have changed.
October 26, 2026 at 9:27 pm #321844Even the Brewer fans look bored…
October 26, 2026 at 9:29 pm #321845Well, on the sunny side, TB has a hit…1 hit.
