I guess they won’t be protecting him in the Rule 5 draft this year.

Ildemeldo Vargas makes the D-Backs. Over 1,200 mlb at bats and never made it oast Palm Beach. I really think Mejia looks the part, but Hernandez looks even better. If Mitchell gets time at SS, Pallia isn’t injured too badly, and you consider the four SS’s we drafted, there may not be opportunities for Mejia. The team seems to value Aneylo Encarnacion and Villareak, also.
