Johnson will be aiming to take the record Tuesday night.
Memphis Redbirds skipper Ben Johnson is one win away from becoming the winningest manager in the history of the #stlcards’ Triple-A franchise. The Cardinal Nation's @NathanNpomerenk reports from AutoZone Park. https://t.co/ZMdRi6686w pic.twitter.com/RMEDIOG5Yc

May 19, 2025 at 9:20 pm #282767Current status of the system is 81 wins and 89 losses. Their .476 winning percentage is 20th of the 30 organizations.
Tigers and Dodgers are on top. Brewers are fourth and Pirates are seventh.
May 19, 2025 at 10:08 pm #282788Interesting the Tigers and Dodgers are up top in terms of winning in their minors as well. They are currently the best team in the bigs for their league and they have reinforcements on the way. Their farm systems are both easily in the top 5 in pure quality.

May 20, 2025 at 8:07 pm #282862To go along with Brian’s analysis of the farm winning %, BA has an article about the org hitting and pitching stats.
The Cardinals actually have a top 6 offense for BA, but a bottom 3 ERA. Despite all the desires to improve the K%, the org has the 7th worst K%.
May 20, 2025 at 8:26 pm #282880Josh Baez had a heck of a game today. 4 for 4 with a BB, 2 HRs 4 RBIs, and 3 runs. Peoria overall had 7 HRs

stlcard25ParticipantWell, having Hence and Mathews back on the mound, even if they’re probably both damaged goods, restores a little hope that the minors season won’t be a total loss. Hopefully they can keep it together and have good results going forward.

ParticipantMemphis opening day rotation = McGreevy – Mathews – Graceffo – Bedell – Robberse
Present rotation = McGreevy – Bedell – Cornwall – CTaylor – and now Rom. Before that the fifth spot was filled with bp guys and a couple of AA pitchers. They were 1-5 with Gomez/Taveras. Except for McGreevy the rotation now is not the guys that you want starting at AAA.
If they have to promote someone from Springfield it should be Henderson who has been their most consistent starter.
May 21, 2025 at 12:28 pm #282938Hi boys. I’m off today and considered going to the game, but opted instead for a nice long much needed bike ride. It was cheaper. Love to get a V today. Looks like Oli is anticipating the bullpen game with a mostly l r l lineup.
May 22, 2025 at 7:09 am #282963The #stlcards system was 4-0 on Wednesday as Memphis manager Ben Johnson set a career milestone. May 23, 2025 at 6:53 pm #283020Rainel with another HR. What a start to the year he is having. He is closing in on the HR lead from even the A ball leagues despite a difference of 14 games played versus something like 42 for most A ball teams.
Also really good to see Odle pitch. Only 2 innings, which gives him a grand total of 5 in his career. Who knows, maybe the other constantly injured guy Alec Willis will even make an appearance at some point this year.
May 24, 2025 at 5:27 am #283058The #STLCards system was 2-3 on Friday. May 25, 2025 at 4:55 pm #283231Quinn had another rehab start this time for Palm Beach. 3 innings this time so building up a little bit and he threw 45 pitches. Results were good but that is obviously expected for him at that level. I wonder how many more rehab starts he gets. Probably another 1 or 2 if I had to guess.
Hence I imagine will pitch his next rehab start Tuesday as well. Really hoping to see these 2 guys healthy and perform well this 2nd half of the year to maybe get some time in the bigs even. Quinn at least has pitched a full season load last year, but Hence really needs to build up some innings. I wonder if for Hence they would put him in the pen at the end of the year to limit the innings a little.
May 26, 2025 at 6:28 am #283246The #STLCards system was 2-2 on Sunday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Peoria outfielder Ian Petrutz, was 2-for-4, including a walk and three RBI. Other standouts include Matt Koperniak, Chase Davis, Pete Hansen, Dakota Harris and Quinn Mathews. https://t.co/OP9vSxxVTm pic.twitter.com/6U2fTP164q
