Brian, I think in the mid year update the Brewers will be even higher than 7 on most lists. They have some 18 year old Dominicans they had skip the ACL now playing in A ball that are really toolsy and playing well. Jesus Made looks like an easy top 10 guy in baseball now. Luis Pena is a top 100 guy now too.
May 17, 2025 at 11:33 am #282436Make that 6 home runs now for Raniel Rodriguez. In 31 at bats.
May 17, 2025 at 12:45 pm #282437Sounds as if young Raniel needs to be jettisoned to Peoria ASAP. The lad needs to be challenged.
May 17, 2025 at 2:03 pm #282443I wouldn’t send him to Peoria, but give him until June and I would consider Palm Beach at least. I want to see him sustain the high production for a month before getting him to A as an 18 year old. Although Milwaukee would probably already have him there.
May 17, 2025 at 6:05 pm #282463Palm Beach just stole 5 bases . . . In the first inning. Then Honeyman walked in the top of the second and promptly stole 2nd.
May 17, 2025 at 6:47 pm #282476Jnevel. That box score is interesting. 5 runs for Palm Beach so far, but 2 hits.
May 17, 2025 at 7:58 pm #282500Baez has been on fire lately. 3 for 3 so far tonight. He also now has 18 steals.
Not sure why Mautz left the game after 2 innings tonight. I hope it’s not anything serious.
May 18, 2025 at 6:55 am #282549The #STLCards system was 3-2 on Saturday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Palm Beach’s Jason Savacool, pitched six one-run innings and struck out seven. Other standouts include JJ Wetherholt, Brody Moore, Greysen Tarlow, Joshua Baez and Andy Yerzy.… pic.twitter.com/szqjAonEw5

May 18, 2025 at 2:30 pm #282575Baez with another 2 hits today so far. He honestly doesn’t even look like the same player. He was known for raw power and bad bat control, but this year he has been all contact no power. I’m glad to see he is hitting the ball though and maybe he can keep the contact up and find himself with some power as well.
May 18, 2025 at 2:32 pm #282577JJ also had a HR last night and has another one today. Both were pulled HRs which is actually great to see for Wetherholt. Wetherholt has a great all fields approach which will give him high BAs, but when he does pull the ball he needs to lift a little to tap into his HR power.
May 18, 2025 at 7:52 pm #282628Ixan Henderson had another really great start today. I was a little surprised the Cards pushed him to AA this year to start, but he is making it look like a good decision.
May 19, 2025 at 6:40 am #282650The #stlcards system was 3-1 on Sunday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Memphis OF Michael Siani, went 5-for-5, including a triple, a run scored, a steal, and three RBI. Other standouts include Drew Rom, Jimmy Crooks, Ixan Henderson, JJ Wetherholt and Josh Kross.… pic.twitter.com/iPCw6HunUB

May 19, 2025 at 9:51 am #282661Guardedly great news. The #stlcards have sent their top pitching prospect Quinn Mathews to a rehab assignment in the Florida Complex League. The lefty is on the IL with shoulder soreness, having last pitched for Triple-A Memphis on April 11. pic.twitter.com/JAHuRTAQ4k

May 19, 2025 at 11:49 am #282671Quinn Mathews looks to have began a rehab assignment today for the FCL Cards. 2 innings only with 4 Ks and no walks. Unfortunately FCL doesn’t show balls and strikes thrown as I was hoping to see that for Mathews to see if he has his mechanics working ok
May 19, 2025 at 1:07 pm #282680I saw that Albert. Good to have Quinn back on the mound.
Raniel has a double, single, HBP, and strikeout thus far. The slacker hasn’t hit a home run yet. May have to cut him.
May 19, 2025 at 3:55 pm #282688Haha yeah what a horrible day at the plate for Rainel. I need a HR a game.
